Support for St. Louis
St. Louis Housing Authority works to provide a stable future for individuals and families with access to safe, affordable housing. Our federally funded Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) programs currently offer income-based assistance to more than 20,000 residents of St. Louis.

SLHA’s Housing Choice Voucher Program, commonly known as Section 8, offers low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities the opportunity to secure housing in the private market. Participants choose suitable housing based on their family’s need, and the Authority pays a housing subsidy to the landlord.
